“don’t worry about it.” I said.

My heart was beating out of my chest, so loudly that I’m pretty sure he heard it.

“photography class?” he asked, noticing the camera around my neck.

“uhh yea,” i said “thats my first class.”

“wow, I couldnt even tell you mine.” he said jokingly. “oh, I’m John by the way,” he says with a huge smile.

“Lexie” I said. I couldnt help but smile back.

“Well, Lexie, it’s very nice meeting you. Sorry that it had to happen like this.”

“No worries John, but uh, I heard you singing earlier with your friends. You guys were amazing.”

“wow, we were just joking around but they’re actually my bandmates as well, well except for the girl, that’s Erin, Garrett’s girlfriend,” he added.

“a band ?! damn. and you talk about Erin and Garrett as if I know them. It’s only my first day.” I say, kind of cocky but completely unknowingly.

“ ooh, yea, right, sorry. You’ll have to meet them.”

“okay. but I have to get to class,” I say noticing my watch. “I’ll see ya.”

“oh yea! alright, seeya.”

Walking to class my legs were shaking. I was a little weak in the knees. a band ?! reallly ?! how did he know band guys are my weakness! I wonder if i’ll ever see him again. Oh well, i cant focus on him right now. I just got here, I cant be obsessing over a guy.. I wonder if Gina knows him .. ?

“OHMYGOD! HE’S SO HOT-NO HES GORGEOUS- WITH THE VOICE OF AN ANGEL AND HE TALKED TO ME AND NOW HE KNOWS WHO I AM ! AND–” gina cut me off. it’s official, i was freaking out.

“Lex, calm down. who are you talking about? wait, lets go to the cafe and you can start from the beginning.”

i agreed and we made our way to the cafe. I was secretly hoping to see John, but I kinda didnt want to because I didnt know what to say nor do. We walked around to the other side of the campus to the cafe. I’m talking to Gina, when suddenly I hear his voice.  His voice is so beautiful. He’s singing a version of ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me.’

“There he is.” I said to Gina, pointing him out along with his group of friends.

“The one with the nose ring?” she asked.

“No, the singer.” I corrected her.

“Oh, John- right? yea, Lex, he’s really cute, and perfect for you.”

I smiled a big, cheesy smile. “awe- ya think? The one with the nose ring, whose name is Garrett I think- well at least that’s what John said- and im pretty sure he has a girlfriend. The one right next to him, John said her name was Erin.”

John caught me walking by, he said hello with winked and smiled.
