Back in the kitchen Arthur was talking to Paula.

“What is wrong with you Paula?”

“Nothing is wrong with me Arthur.  But there is something really wrong with that girl.”

"Paula I thought we had this settled.”

Paula was now searching through the cupboards looking for something to drink and answering back, “No you had this settled, and you made the choice for me.”

“Paula I want OUR daughter to feel wanted and loved while she is living here.”

Finding a bottle of vodka she pulled it out of the cupboard and opened it.  She took a big gulp of it before she stabbed back, “Well she doesn’t have to live here.”

“Paula.”

“I'm sure that ***** she is with can put up with her.  Cause Spencer is going to lose everything she has if she doesn’t lose that *****.”

“Paula I am not going to stand here and let you call Ashley a *****.  Because being with Ashley makes Spencer happy and I am pretty sure… no I'm sure that Ashley is happy as well.  And I really want Spencer to be able to believe that her mother will be there for her no matter what.”  Paula was still drinking the bottle of vodka.  “Give me that.”  Arthur takes the bottle out of her hands and pours it down the drain.

“Paula, I want Spencer to come to us if anything is wrong.  I don’t want her thinking that we can’t be there for her and I know for a fact that Ashley is thinking of proposing.”

Paula interrupted him.  “There is no way in hell that I will go to their wedding.”  With that Paula walked off as she told Arthur, “I think the couch is looking great for you right now.”

Arthur in defeat went and grabbed some pillows and blankets.  He placed them on the couch and then a thought came into his head.  “I hope the kids didn’t hear any off that.”  So he decided to go check on them.  He made his way up the stairs and towards a blue door which happened to be Glen's room.  He opened the door quietly and slowly, but he had to giggle at what he saw.  Glen was hanging half off the bed in boxers with the cover over his head.  He walked in and grabbed the cover and covered Glen up, but he didn’t want to move him.  Then he walked out but turned around when he heard, “Come here baby.”  Glen was talking in his sleep and mumbled a few other incoherent words.  Arthur then walked out closing the door quietly.

He made his way over to a purple door with the sign on it saying Spencer's Room.  Arthur opened the door quietly,

he went in and saw Spencer asleep with a book and a flashlight.  He picked the book up and placed it on the bedside drawer, pulled the cover up over Spencer's body and tucked her in, and gave her a kiss on the forehead.  Arthur turned off the flashlight and started to walk out.  “Dad,” a tired Spencer said.

“Ssshhhh its ok Spencer go back to sleep.”

“I'm (yawn) sorry.”

Arthur walked back up to Spencer.  “It’s ok Spencer.  We'll talk in the morning and you have nothing to apologise for, your mother does.”

Spencer answer back slurring on her words, "I love you and thank you.“  With that she dosed back off.

Arthur kissed her forehead once again.  “I love you always.”  Arthur walked out smiling.

 He went to the couch and tried to get as comfortable as he could and fell asleep.
