A Weird and Unlikely Beginning ( 1. )
“We hope to enjoy working with you.” A group of five teenage
boys were talking to five middle-aged men and a middle-aged woman. As the boys
turned to leave a picture caught one of their attentions.
Who are they?He thought to himself, as they continued walking.
“Natasha, Alex, Rachel, Zena and Macalla!” a female voice
called. “Dinner!”
When neither of the girls replied
back she went upstairs to look for them. That’s
weird they usually race down when it’s time to eat. What she found in the
girls’ ‘hangout room’ made her laugh. They had fallen asleep while studying for
their upcoming exams.
The door
opened and she heard rustling going on downstairs. She went to check what was
going on.
“So, this is the house we’re
supposed to be staying at.” A male voice said. There were five teenage boys.
“Excuse me, but who are you and
what are you doing here?” She questioned
them.
“We could easily ask you the same
question.” Another replied. The one beside him elbowed him in the stomach.
“Ow!”
“I’m Harry. These are my mates;
Louis, Liam, Niall and Zayn.” He introduced them. “We’re One Direction and
we’re supposed to be staying here.”
“Oh, yes! I remember now, they said
some boys would be coming today.” She recalled. “I’m Mrs. Nakamura and I’m the
caretaker. Are you boys hungry?”
“Yes!” Niall practically screamed.
“First I must have to ask you to
quiet down. If someone wakes up you’ll wish you hadn’t been responsible for it.
Secondly, before dinner can I ask for a favour?” Mrs. Nakamura responded.
“Sure.” Liam replied.
“Follow me, if you will.” She asked
as she led them upstairs to the girls’ hangout room.
They recognized the girls from the
picture in the office they had previously been in.
“These are Natasha, Alex, Rachel,
Zena and Macalla.” Mrs. Nakamura pointed out each girl all of whom were asleep.
Natasha was lying on a couch near a table. Rachel had her hands on the table
and her head on top of them. Zena was half sitting and half lying on the floor
with her back leaning against the couch Natasha was occupying. Macalla was
lying on another couch also surrounding the table. And Alex was lying on the
ground, half on her side and half on her stomach, an open textbook serving as her
pillow.
“Would you mind putting them to bed?”
Mrs. Nakamura asked them.
